Complement C4 FS is an immunoturbidimetric test to determine complement C4 in serum and plasma. Depending on the activated complement cascade, C4 values may be lowered or stay normal. Decreased C4 concentrations without simultaneously lowered C3 levels occur in hereditary or acquired angioneurotic edema.
