Coagulation Control AK

Key Features

ANHCP Batch tableCoagulation Control AK is an accuracy and precision control for INR tests prepared from the plasma of patients stabilised on long-term oral anticoagulant therapy

The control is prepared from warfarinised patients plasma so it contains PIVKA inhibitors, and the levels of prothrombin complex factors (II, VII, IX and X) are the same as patient’s plasma. The control is externally by INSTAND in Germany and ÖEQUASTA in Austria for most popular INR, PT, aPTT and thrombin time reagents.

  • Prepared from the plasma of patients stabilised on long-term oral anticoagulant therapy
  • Externally assigned control values for thromboplastin reagents
  • Excellent reconstituted stability of up to 8 hours
  • Large pack and vial sizes for economy and convenience
  • Long shelf life and large batch sizes for continuity

Product Description

Coagulation Control AK is an accuracy control for INR tests. It is prepared from plasma of patients stabilised on long-term oral anticoagulant therapy, so the prothrombin complex factors (II, VII, IX and X) have the same coagulation activity as plasma from patients on oral anticoagulant therapy. The control also contains PIVKA inhibitors (Proteins induced by Vitamin K Absence) in the same way as the patient’s plasma. The plasma contains stabilisers, but no preservatives to also ensure comparability with the patient test samples.

The product is supplied with a batch table of values for INR, PT, aPTT and thrombin time determined externally by INSTAND in Germany and ÖEQUASTA in Austria, for most widely used reagents.

Once reconstituted the control is stable (up to 8 hours), and is available in two pack sizes for economy and convenience.
